You probably started your business with a great desire to help people with your “thing.”  It’s probably something you are great at, something you love and something that lots of people said you should have a business doing.  However, if you’ve been in business more than a few weeks then you already know it’s not as simple as printing some business cards and slapping up an online brochure site.  Unfortunately, being great at what you do for customers does not guarantee that you will have a successful business.

It’s a lot of work to run a business, and it’s an entire skill set that you need that is separate from what you do for customers.  There’s a reason you can get entire college degrees in business – there’s a lot to learn!  Without the skill needed to run a business, all of the great work you do won’t help anyone because you won’t have a business for long.

If you don’t know how to run a business, it’s not your fault.  Nobody is born with business skills, they have to be learned and this if often overlooked.  There’s lots of people promoting slick programs that promise to bypass the hard work of running a business.  There’s no getting around it though, you have to run your business right or it won’t work.

I started my business back in 2009 as a productivity expert for entrepreneurs.  I was focused on helping people get more done, but what I quickly learned is that if you aren’t getting the right things done, your business will not thrive and you’ll be way too busy to have a fulfilling life.  Even though I have both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business, I made a lot of mistakes that first year while trying to get established.  Before long, people started asking me more about how I was building my business than for productivity advice.  I decided to shift my focus in 2010, and I now offer you the benefit of 5 years of business-building experience.

The fine print:

  • You have until January 10, 2015 to use all your sessions.
  • Sessions are 45 minutes each and can be combined.
  • You can buy up to 10 sessions per person.
  • There is a limit to how many I can sell, and once I reach that limit I’ll close this offer.
  • You will get a link to my calendar so you can schedule your appointments whenever you want.  If you want to combine your sessions, email me with your request
  • Appointment times are subject to availability.  Book quickly to get your preferred times.  I do have some time off scheduled over the next 6 months.
  • If you ever can’t find a time you like for your appointment, email me a request and I’ll do my best to honor it.
  • If you fail to show for a scheduled appointment, I will consider my obligation met and no refund or re-scheduling will be offered.
  • There are no refunds permitted, however if you are unsatisfied with our session I will do my best to make it right by offering additional time or information.
  • If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, email me at least 48 hours before your scheduled time and make sure I reply to confirm receipt.  You will then be able to reschedule your appointment.  Otherwise you forfeit your session fee.
